Mississauga has opened a new chapter in transforming the city into more of an artistic space. On Tuesday, May 10, 2016, Ilan Sandler's permanent installation, The Book, was publicly unveiled at Celebration Square. The idea behind The Book is to visually connect the space between the Mississauga Central Library and the Mississauga Civic Centre, and at over 5 metres tall and 4.3 metres wide, it certainly catches the public attention. There are two pages that have ripped from the spine, and from the visualization of the moving pages, it appears that the pages are blowing towards the Central Library. This is a wonderful art piece that we encourage you to see for yourself!
