The Mississauga Waterfront Festival (MWF) was incorporated as the Mississauga Waterfront Festival in 1998 and granted City of Mississauga affiliation status.The MWF is recognized as Mississauga’s Signature Family and Friends event. It has achieved a Top 100 Festivals in Ontario ranking for ten years and 2012 marked the 16th Anniversary. From a small community festival of 7,050 visitors in 1998 the festival attracts visitors from Mississauga, the GTA, many parts of Ontario, and U.S. border cities to a current average of 50,000 festival goers.
